Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a high impact senior sales leader who can aggressively grow our payments business both digital and in-store/omni-channel by targeting merchants, enterprises, banks, financial institutions, and fintech partners. The ideal candidate should have run high-impact sales operations at scale, built strong enterprise partnerships, and delivered consistent revenue growth in the payments / fintech / financial-services domain.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth:

- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market-share targets.

- Identify new business opportunities across banks, NBFCs, enterprises, fintechs, and large Retail Chains.

- Drive enterprise account acquisition and build long-term strategic relationships.

- Build and own the national sales & GTM strategy for payments products (gateway, POS, issuing/acquiring, merchants etc.).

- Identify, pursue, and close large enterprise deals: large retail chains, e-commerce platforms, financial institutions/banks, aggregators, merchants, etc.

- Develop and manage channel and partner ecosystems banks, NBFCs, fintechs, aggregators — to drive distribution and volume growth.

- Lead end-to-end sales life cycle: from lead generation, opportunity mapping, deal negotiation & structuring, contracting, to closure and on boarding.

Business growth:

- Drive the acquisition of new customers and merchants, and identify opportunities for up selling and cross-selling existing products.

- Promote and present digital payment solutions and other products to merchants as per their business needs

- Leverage prospect and contract new merchants and partners by presenting the appropriate solutions for the business.

Team Leadership:

- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing sales teams across regions.

- Set KPIs, monitor performance, and enhance team capability through coaching and training.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

- Manage large enterprise accounts and strategic partnerships.

- Lead high-value negotiations and commercial discussions with CXOs, decision makers, and key partners.

- Ensure strong client engagement and retention through consistent solution delivery and consultative selling.

Market & Product Expertise:

- Understand fintech products such as payment gateways, merchant acquiring, UPI solutions, cards(card present, card not present), wallets, digital onboarding, reconciliation tools, API-based payment solutions, and enterprise fintech platforms.

- Provide market insights, competitor intelligence, and customer feedback to product and leadership teams.

- Collaborate with product, technology, and operations teams to deliver customized solutions.

Operational & Forecasting Responsibilities:

- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and MIS reports.

- Ensure compliance, pricing governance, and contract management.

- Drive efficient sales processes and CRM system usage.

Key Requirements:

Educational Qualification:

- MBA/PGDM preferred; specialization in Sales, Marketing, or Finance is an advantage.

Experience:

- 10-15+ years of experience in sales with at least 8 years in fintech / payments / banking/ BFSI technology.

- Proven track record in B2B enterprise sales, payment solutions, and fintech product sales.

- Experience managing large teams and complex enterprise accounts.

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong understanding and knowledge of payments ecosystem

  • Payment Aggregation/Payment Gateways/BIN Sponsorship Ecosystem
  • UPI, Cards, Tokenization, Digital Commerce, Instore/PoS, Issuing & Acquiring Rails, EMI, APIs and enterprise fintech solutions.
  • Partner and Bank-driven go-to-market strategy

- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

- Ability to build CXO-level relationships.

- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and commercial acumen.

- High energy, growth-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced fintech environment.
