Job Description

We are hiring for our client which is one of the leading manufacturer of resins & composites. Headquartered in Ahmedabad, it has got multiple sites in India and also plans for expansions with new greenfield manufacturing facilities.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Head to lead our sales team and drive business growth in the resin manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of sales strategies, fostering key relationships, and driving revenue growth in the composites and coatings markets. This is a senior leadership position with a focus on achieving targets, managing sales teams, and representing the company at a strategic level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth for resins used in composites and coatings.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and explore new market opportunities within India and internationally. Develop strategies to increase market share and drive penetration into new segments.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, industry influencers, and stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance to drive performance and achieve sales targets.
  • Business Development: Collaborate with the marketing and product development teams to identify market needs, customer pain points, and opportunities for product innovation.
  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Monitor sales performance, prepare forecasts, and deliver regular reports to the executive management team.
  • Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead high-level negotiations and ensure the successful closing of large-scale deals. Review contracts and pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that customer feedback is collected and integrated into the product development process for continuous improvement.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitors, and emerging market demands, and ensure the companys products remain competitive.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position in the manufacturing sector (preferably resins, chemicals, or composites).
  • Industry Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of the resin industry, particularly in composites and coatings, with an understanding of manufacturing processes, customer needs, and market dynamics.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing sales teams, set clear goals, and drive results.
  • Education: B.E.(Chemical)/Engineering Graduate and an MBA-Marketing is preferred.
  • Location: The candidate should be located in Ahmedabad or willing to relocate.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients, senior management, and stakeholders at various levels.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.

Preferred Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of resin formulations and their applications in coatings and composites.
  • Strong network within the composites and coatings industries.
  • Ability to drive digital transformation in sales processes and CRM management.
  • Experience in managing large-scale regional or national accounts.
