1. NATURE & SCOPE

Nature

  • Achieve assigned sales targets through proactive selling of freight forwarding services.
  • Identify, develop, and retain clients to build a strong and sustainable customer base.
  • Respond to incoming customer inquiries and ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct regular client meetings and presentations to promote service offerings.
  • Maintain strong market awareness and understanding of industry trends, competitors, and customer needs.
  • Strong knowledge of service providers, shipping lines, airlines, CHA, and key logistics stakeholders.

Scope

  • End-to-end business development in Export & Import freight forwarding.
  • Responsible for KPIs and achievement of monthly/annual revenue targets.

2. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

Business Development

  • Identify, qualify, and convert potential leads through cold calling, networking, and market intelligence.
  • Maintain a continuously active and healthy sales pipeline with leads at various stages—new, mid-stage, and closing.
  • Target a diversified portfolio across industries, company sizes, and service types (Air/Sea/Imports/LCL/SCM).

Customer Engagement

  • Engage with prospects and customers to present company services and solutions.
  • Build and nurture client relationships to increase wallet share and long-term retention.
  • Work closely with Team Leaders to expand customer base and market penetration.
  • Understand customer businesses thoroughly and act as a logistics consultant to offer tailored solutions.
  • Handle customer onboarding through BES and maintain customer satisfaction.

Sales Visit Planning

  • Prepare weekly/monthly sales visit plans for assigned territories.
  • Conduct face-to-face or virtual visits with qualified prospects and existing customers.
  • Submit visit reports, meeting outcomes, and follow-up plans to Team Leaders on time.

Marketing Strategies

  • Develop marketing plans for direct shippers focusing on end-to-end logistics solutions.
  • Explore new market verticals such as Air Freight, LCL, Imports, SCM, and product-specific opportunities.
  • Plan promotional activities to enhance brand visibility and service reach.

Credit Management & Recoveries

  • Implement customer credit agreements and ensure compliance with company credit policies.
  • Manage DSO recovery, follow up on overdue payments, and ensure timely collections.
  • Resolve billing or credit disputes within 48 hours.
