We are hiring for Asst TAX Manager for Vadodara location.

Note: Post selection candidate will have to travel Tanzania for 3 month training.

Role Overview

The Assistant Manager Tax will play a key role in leading the tax compliance and advisory function within the outsourcing business. The role involves managing client engagements, reviewing tax computations, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, and supervising junior staff. The candidate should demonstrate strong technical knowledge, people management skills, and the ability to interact with CA/CPA firms and their clients in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee

  tax compliance processes

  for multiple clients, including VAT, PAYE, withholding tax, and corporate tax returns.
• Review tax computations and ensure

  timely filing and payment

  of all statutory obligations.
• Provide

  advisory support

  to clients on tax planning, structuring, and regulatory updates.
• Supervise and mentor tax associates, ensuring work is completed to professional standards.
• Liaise with tax authorities and handle audits, queries, and assessments on behalf of clients.
• Ensure compliance with

  IFRS, IAS, and local regulations

  relevant to tax and accounting.
• Contribute to process improvements and leverage technology tools to enhance efficiency.
• Prepare periodic tax reports and communicate effectively with clients and partner firms.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional qualification:

  CPA / ACCA / CA

  (fully or partly qualified).
• Minimum

  4–6 years of experience

  in tax compliance and advisory, preferably in a professional services or outsourcing firm.
• Strong knowledge of

  Tanzanian tax laws

  and familiarity with East African tax frameworks.
• Proven experience in supervising teams and managing client relationships.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in accounting/tax software and MS Office tools.
