The Key areas of accountability/responsibility:
- Lead all direct (income tax, TDS, transfer pricing) and indirect (GST, customs, excise) tax processes in India, including periodic filings and reconciliations.
- Preparation and review of company tax returns, ensuring the accurate and timely filing of all tax forms related to Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax (WHT), Transfer Pricing, and GST.
- Responsible for timely compliance for Indian legal entities, and handle correspondence and representation before tax authorities.
- Responsible for preparation of GST returns, classification of goods, customs compliance, and incorporation of legal changes in SAP.
- Act as the primary liaison with tax authorities, to address tax-related inquiries, audits, and assessments. Manage tax audits, inquiries from authorities, and statutory requirements.
- Lead and oversee tax compliance processes in India, including the preparation of transfer pricing documentation, tax provision calculations, and tax accounting reconciliations.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors and consultants in India to gain expert insights on complex tax matters and identify strategic tax planning opportunities.
- Track legislative changes regarding updates on changes in Indian tax laws and regulations, assessing their potential impact on the company s tax position and overall business operations. Implement respective system and process updates, and drive digitalization and automation in tax management.
- Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Evaluate and advise on mergers, acquisitions, capital expenditures, and cross-border transactions for India from a tax efficiency and compliance perspective.
- Collaborate cross-functionally for efficient tax risk management and problem resolution.
The Ideal Candidate

Minimum 3 yrs of relevant experience required
Complete Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
