Sales Engineer – East Region (Pharma / Instrumentation)

Location: Kolkata / Guwahati
Experience: 2–9 Years
Salary: ₹4–9 LPA (Package based on experience & interview)

Job Overview

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to manage and grow sales of instrumentation products (Temperature, Humidity, Data Logging, Cleanroom Instruments) in the Pharma and related industries across the East Region. The role requires strong technical knowledge, client handling, key account management, and product demonstrations. The candidate should be comfortable with extensive travel (~15–20 days/month).

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets by promoting instrumentation products across Pharma, HVAC/R, Thermal Imaging, OEM, Industrial, and Automation sectors.
  • Conduct product demos, trials, technical clarifications, presentations, and prepare proposals.
  • Handle key accounts, maintain client relationships, and ensure repeat business.
  • Understand client requirements for measurement parameters (temperature, humidity, data logging, cleanroom compliance) and recommend suitable products.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on pharma guidelines, cleanroom applications, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of sales, forecasts, orders, and customer communications.
  • Travel extensively across the East Region to meet clients, conduct demos, and close sales.

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • 2–9 years of field sales experience in instrumentation, temperature/humidity measurement, or related technical products.
  • Prior sales exposure in Pharma, HVAC/R, Manufacturing, or Industrial segments preferred.
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of measuring instruments, data logging, cleanroom instrumentation, and compliance standards.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and willing to travel extensively (~80% of time).

Work Conditions

  • Field sales role requiring client visits, product demos, and key account management.
