Job Description

Sales Engineering is a key role at Fluence, critical to our continued growth and success. As a Sales Engineer, you will be the technical lead throughout the sales process for some of the largest and most challenging projects in the energy storage industry. This is a customer-facing role, and also requires interaction with many different groups internally including Product, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Project Execution.

What You ll Do:

Drive technical sales for energy storage projects across Australia.
Collaborate with global teams in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
Lead proposal evaluations and optimize system configurations.
Ensure compliance with local standards and customer requirements.
Partner with Sales on contract negotiations and technical scoping.
Provide dynamic system modelling and technical presentations.
Work closely with procurement and project teams for seamless delivery.
Capture customer requirements to influence product roadmaps.
Be the go-to technical expert for Australian projects!

What does the ideal candi look like?

A Bachelor s or Master s degree in Engineering (Electrical Preferred)
4-8 years work experience in energy storage, solar, or other power generation. Experience in Australian market will be regarded favorably
Ability to solve complex technical problems and communicate results
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with contract negotiations and familiarity with key contract areas
Knowledge of applicable International and Australian standards, codes and regulations
Entrepreneurial drive and ability to prioritize and execute on many tasks in parallel
Willing and able to travel internationally, up to 50% of the time
