• Preference to candidates with NEBOSH / IOSH certification
  

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor safety procedures across all O&M activities in the 2x65 MW Thermal Power Plant.
• Conduct daily plant safety inspections and audits for BTG, electrical, and mechanical work areas.
• Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations, OEG safety policies, and client requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety induction, and training sessions for new and existing employees.
• Monitor work permits (PTW) and ensure adherence to Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare root cause analysis (RCA) and preventive measures.
• Maintain safety documentation including risk assessments, safety checklists, and compliance reports.
• Coordinate emergency drills (fire, evacuation, first aid) and ensure readiness of safety equipment.
• Liaise with client safety teams, local authorities, and statutory bodies during inspections.
• Promote a strong safety culture by engaging with workforce and contractors.
  

Skills & Knowledge Required

• Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards, OSHA/Factory Act compliance.
• Experience in O&M safety management for power plants (10 MW – 65 MW range preferred).
• Familiarity with BTG safety requirements, electrical isolation, confined space entry, and work-at-height protocols.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to lead safety campaigns and influence safe work practices among workers.
