Your role as a Safety Officer will involve ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on high-rise construction sites. You will play a crucial role in promoting a strong safety culture and overseeing the implementation of HSE policies. Your responsibilities will include: - Safety Planning & Compliance: - Implementing and monitoring the company's HSE policies, procedures, and programs on high-rise construction sites. - Ensuring compliance with local occupational health and safety laws, building codes, and client requirements. - Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of safety legislation and industry best practices for high-rise projects. - Risk Assessment & Hazard Control: - Conducting job safety analyses (JSA) and risk assessments for activities like scaffolding, formwork, crane operations, faade works, and working at height. - Identifying potential hazards and recommending preventive and corrective actions. - Ensuring appropriate safety measures for high-rise-specific risks such as falling objects, tower crane safety, and hoist operations. - Training & Awareness: - Delivering safety induction programs for new workers and subcontractors. - Conducting toolbox talks, safety drills, and refresher training, especially for working-at-height procedures. - Promoting safety culture and worker engagement through campaigns and awareness programs. - Site Inspection & Monitoring: - Performing daily safety inspections to ensure proper use of PPE, adherence to safe work procedures, and proper housekeeping. - Monitoring scaffolding, lift shafts, edge protection, and fall arrest systems to ensure compliance. - Ensuring safety signage and barricades are in place and maintained. - Incident Reporting & Investigation: - Reporting and investigating accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions. - Maintaining accurate safety records and preparing regular HSE performance reports. - Recommending measures to prevent recurrence of incidents. - Coordination & Communication: - Liaising with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure safety is integrated into planning and execution. - Coordinating with emergency services in case of incidents. - Participating in safety meetings with management and client representatives. Qualifications & Experience: - Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Civil Engineering, or related field. - NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA certification, or equivalent is mandatory. - Minimum 4 years experience as a Safety Officer in construction, with at least 2 years in high-rise building projects. - Knowledge of high-rise-specific safety measures, including tower crane operations, faade installation, and fall protection systems. - Strong understanding of local safety regulations and international best practices. - Good communication, leadership, and reporting skills. Key Skills & Competencies: - Strong attention to detail and proactive safety approach. - Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments. - Skilled in safety audits, inspections, and hazard identification. - Competence in preparing and delivering training sessions. - Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills. Working Conditions: - Majority of time spent on-site in all weather conditions. - May require night shifts or extended hours depending on project needs. - Must be physically fit to climb ladders, scaffolds, and access all areas of a high-rise construction site.,
