Job Description

Position Summary

Safety officer is responsible for Health, Environment and safety at COE project and will ensure day to day safe working during project work.

Key responsibilities

Ensure day to day activity done in safe manner
Ensure PTW and filling of FLRA
Set up and supervising temporary work areas.
Supervise the safe handling, storage & disposal of hazardous materials.
Supervise the operation of any potential hazards in the workplace.
Provide safety induction to vendor /supplier who are going to perform job
Provide job / work related awareness / training, ensure PPE compliance etc..
Improve workplace safety through regular awareness session and training
Ensure that all company employees meet all OSHA requirements.
ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation and sustenance
Maintain HSE related documents for operations
Ensure that health, safety, and environmental policies are followed.
Ensure reporting of accidents/incidents/hazards, illnesses and investigate to discover root causes and recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures to avoid the reoccurrence
Monthly / periodic HSE reporting on awareness, issues, statistics, and reports to relevant authorities
Maintain and update Emergency response plan and ensure preparedness through mock drills

Requisites for performing the role

Knowledge of Safe Work (PTW, work at height, LOTO,etc..)

Knowledge of basic safety rules / ISO 45001:2018 & OHSAS

Experience to identify hazard and risk assessment

Incident investigation, report writing

Communication skill, bold and strongly stand on shop floor
