Job Description

Job Title: Safety Officer

Location:

Job Summary:

Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and enforce safety regulations and procedures within the plant.
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
Identify potential hazards and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Deliver safety raining and toolbox talks to workers and staff.
Maintain incident and accident records and support investigation and root cause analysis.
Ensure use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and safety signage across the facility.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure compliance with statutory and company safety norms.
Assist in the implementation of ISO 45001 / OHSAS standards (if applicable).
Conduct fire drills and emergency evacuation training.
Liaise with external agencies (e.g., Fire, Labour, Factory Inspectorate) as required.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Diploma / Degree in Industrial Safety or related discipline (as per Factory Act).
2 years of experience in a safety role within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of local statutory compliance (Factories Act, Safety Regulations, etc.).
Strong observational, communication, and reporting skills.
Computer proficiency for report preparation and documentation.

Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):

NEBOSH / IOSH
First Aid or Fire Safety certification
