Job Summary for the Safety Officer (Environment & Safety) - An Environmental Officer's job is to ensure an organization complies with environmental regulations and standards related to pollution and waste management. They conduct environmental assessments, implement and develop environmental strategies, and may also train employees on environmental awareness. Their responsibilities can include investigating complaints, monitoring pollution, and ensuring proper waste disposal. The partial role involves risk assessment, safety training, and compliance, knowledge about JSA & HIRA. Key Responsibilities: 1. Compliance and Regulation: Ensuring the organization adheres to environmental laws, regulations, and standards. 2. Environmental Assessment: Conducting assessments to identify potential environmental impacts and risks. 3. Monitoring and Testing: Collecting and analysing data on air, water, soil, and waste to ensure they meet regulatory standards. Tracking environmental data, such as air and water quality, and reporting on progress toward environmental goals. 4. Incident Investigation & Responding: - Investigating environmental incidents, such as spills or pollution releases, and ensuring proper clean-up and remediation. - Investigating and responding to environmental incidents, such as spills or pollution releases, to minimize environmental damage and ensure compliance with regulations. 5. Work permit: Issue work permit on the job with monitoring all safety aspects which is going on Day, Night & on Sunday at various locations for in the routine & non-routine activities. 12. Conduct safety walk / round: Conduct the safety walk / round at shop floors for workplace safety for working hours (Working in 1st 2nd, Night shift & Sunday working) 13. Safety Induction & Tool-box talk: - Conduct safety induction and manning record of safety induction - Ensure to conduct Tool-box meeting on regular basis at workplace.
