Safety Engineer

Job Summary:

The Safety Engineer is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies at the project site to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company safety standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Implement and enforce site safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with statutory safety norms as per local laws and standards.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts & conditions.
• Prepare and implement risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Method Statements.
• Conduct safety induction training for new employees, workers, and subcontractors.
• Organize toolbox talks, mock drills, and safety awareness programs.
• Monitor use of PPE and ensure availability at site.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe incidents; prepare incident reports.
• Maintain safety records, registers, permits, and inspection reports.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and contractors to ensure safe work practices.
• Ensure safety compliance for activities such as work at height, excavation, lifting operations, scaffolding, and electrical works.
• Conduct fire safety inspections and ensure emergency preparedness.
• Stop unsafe work practices and report violations to management.
• Assist in audits and inspections by clients or government authorities.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma / Degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Safety, or equivalent.
• Certification in NEBOSH / IOSH / ADIS / PDIS (preferred).
• 2–4 years of experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety laws, standards, and best practices.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle site safety challenges.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
