About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Rust Developer to join our team in building secure,

high-performance applications at the edge. This role is ideal for a systems-level programmer who

thrives on solving complex problems at scale, with deep attention to performance, latency, and

memory efficiency. The ideal candidate will also bring strong interpersonal and communication skills

to collaborate effectively across cross-functional and distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

·        Design, implement, and maintain high-performance services and systems in Rust targeting edge

·        environments.

·        Optimize code for performance, memory usage, and reliability under edge computing constraints.

·        Integrate and interface with IoT platforms, container runtimes (e.g., Wasm, Docker), and distributed

·        systems.

·        Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver scalable and

·        maintainable solutions.

·        Write clean, testable, and efficient code with a focus on security and fault tolerance.

·        Contribute to architectural decisions and lead code reviews.

·        Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements - Technical Skills –

3+ years of experience with Rust in production-grade environments.

Proven experience in Edge Computing, such as working with:

IoT devices - CDN edge platforms (e.g., Cloudflare Workers, Fastly Compute@Edge)

WASM runtimes (e.g., Wasmtime, Wasmer)

Strong understanding of systems programming, concurrency, and memory management.

 Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/UDP, HTTP/2, QUIC, gRPC).

Experience with real-time data processing or streaming (bonus: Apache Arrow, NATS, MQTT). Requirements - Communication & Collaboration - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong documentation habits-able to produce technical specs, guides, and proposals.

Ability to engage in constructive technical debate and translate business requirements into technical goals.

Nice to Have –

Contributions to open-source Rust or Edge Computing projects.

Exposure to DevOps tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, Nomad, Terraform).

 Experience with cross-compilation, embedded systems, or mobile edge environments.
