Job Description

As an Accountant specializing in procurement, your primary role will involve performing accounting and financial reporting tasks. This includes accurately classifying and booking expenses and collaborating with procurement and business stakeholders to resolve invoice exceptions, GR/IR issues, and workflow escalations. Ensuring GST/VAT/tax compliance and accurate tax coding in Coupa transactions will be a key responsibility. You will also participate in month-end close activities like accruals, reconciliations, and reporting of Coupa transactions. Supporting audit and internal control processes with accurate documentation and data from Coupa will be crucial. Monitoring and maintaining vendor master data, chart of accounts, cost centers, and approval hierarchies will also be part of your duties. Qualifications required for this position include holding a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification and having a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year of experience working in Coupa, specifically in areas like P2P, invoicing, and expenses. A strong understanding of accounting principles, AP/AR, indirect procurement, and compliance is necessary. Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, and their integration with Coupa is essential. Solid knowledge of taxation, cost allocation, and expense categorization is a must. Analytical skills to review and enhance operational efficiency will also be beneficial in this role.,
