RTL Validation Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented EDA Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing unit tests, validating Vivado FPGA Implementation Software, and ensuring that existing software tests do not regress. This role requires a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and experience in the EDA domain, particularly with Vivado FPGA tools. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain unit tests for EDA software focused on Vivado FPGA implementation to ensure high-quality code. • Validate Vivado FPGA software functionality and performance through rigorous testing. • Monitor and ensure that existing software tests do not regress, maintaining the integrity of the software. • Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve software defects. • Document test cases, test results, and any issues identified during testing. • Provide feedback and recommendations for improving software quality and testing processes. Required Qualifications and Skills: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering • Proven experience in software testing, particularly in EDA domain and Vivado tools. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with specific EDA tools and software, especially Vivado FPGA. • Knowledge of programming languages commonly used in EDA software development (e.g., C++, Python, Tcl). • FPGA hardware testing experience is a plus.
