Robotics and Automation Engineer

Role Description

We are looking for a dynamic Robotics Engineer who is passionate about cutting-edge technology, innovation, and practical applications of robotics. This role goes beyond traditional teaching — you will be directly involved in guiding both international and domestic learners, including IIT students, through high-level robotics projects and research. From developing robotic arms and autonomous hexapod robots to engaging in aeromodelling competitions with industry leaders like Boeing, this position offers a unique blend of engineering expertise, mentorship, and global exposure.

Qualifications

• Lead and mentor students on advanced robotics projects, including robotic arm development, autonomous hexapod systems, and smart automation solutions.
• Collaborate with international students and IIT talent, providing technical expertise and project guidance.
• Support the design, programming, and integration of Arduino, sensors, servo mechanisms, AI-driven control systems, and embedded electronics.
• Actively contribute to research-driven projects, ensuring innovation and real-world applicability.
• Play a vital role in organizing and managing aeromodelling competitions in collaboration with Boeing, showcasing innovation and technical leadership.
• Provide technical training workshops, hackathons, and hands-on lab sessions that inspire creativity and problem-solving.
• Keep up with the latest advancements in robotics, automation, and AI to integrate cutting-edge concepts into projects.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Strong hands-on expertise with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, sensors, servo/stepper motors, embedded systems, and CAD design.
• Proficiency in robotics programming (Python, C/C++), machine learning integration, and simulation tools (ROS, MATLAB, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse international and domestic teams.
• Prior experience in project mentoring, prototyping, or robotics competitions is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for innovation and emerging technologies.
