Road Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Road Engineer to oversee the planning, execution, and quality control of road construction projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge of highway engineering, pavement design, and site management, with the ability to coordinate between design teams, contractors, and site staff to ensure timely and quality completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all on-site activities for road and pavement works.
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and project plans.
• Plan and schedule daily construction activities to meet deadlines.
• Ensure proper execution of earthworks, subgrade, sub-base, WMM, DBM, BC, and other road layers as per standards.
• Coordinate with survey teams for setting out and alignment checks.
• Inspect materials, workmanship, and ensure compliance with relevant codes (IRC, MORTH).
• Maintain daily progress reports and submit to project management.
• Ensure adherence to site safety and environmental guidelines.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve site issues.
• Assist in testing of materials (soil, aggregate, asphalt) and maintain quality control records.

Skills & Requirements

• Strong knowledge of highway/road construction techniques and specifications.
• Proficiency in reading construction drawings.
• Familiarity with IRC, MORTH guidelines, and quality control procedures.
• Good leadership and team management skills.
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word) for reporting.
• Ability to work in site conditions and meet tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
