Role Overview We are seeking a Road Engineer with a background in Road & Transportation Engineering to join our AI annotation and validation team. The candidate will play a crucial role in reviewing road survey data, validating AI model outputs, and ensuring that annotations align with real-world road engineering principles. Senior Road Engineer Lead and deliver end-to-end road survey projects: plan surveys, define scope, supervise field teams, and ensure engineering/quality standards. Provide technical ownership over pavement & asset assessments (PCI, IRI, pavement distress, lifecycle assessments, safety audits). Validate AI model outputs against engineering judgment and field data; define acceptance criteria and QC processes. Create/refine engineering taxonomies, defect definitions, and data quality rules used to train and evaluate AI models. Mentor and review work of junior engineers; set QA processes for field & data outputs. Liaise with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders. Present findings, make recommendations, and support procurement/decision-making. Advise on integration with existing systems (PMS, EAMS/Maximo) and help design predictive maintenance strategies using combined AI + engineering inputs.
