Role Overview We are seeking a Road Engineer with a background in Road & Transportation Engineering to join our AI annotation and validation team. The candidate will play a crucial role in reviewing road survey data, validating AI model outputs, and ensuring that annotations align with real-world road engineering principles. This is a unique opportunity to apply core engineering knowledge in an AI-driven infrastructure technology environment . Key Responsibilities Review and analyze road survey data (dashcam and other sensor-based data). Perform annotation and classification of road defects, assets, and safety features for AI model training. Validate and refine AI model outputs , ensuring engineering accuracy and practical relevance. Support the development of annotation guidelines based on road engineering standards. Contribute to building taxonomies of road assets, defects, and maintenance strategies . Provide technical expertise on road safety measures and maintenance planning. Collaborate with the AI/ML and product teams to improve model training quality and field applicability . Stay updated with best practices in pavement management, asset inventorying, and road safety audits . Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Road & Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering (specialization in highways/transportation), or equivalent. Strong understanding of: Road defects (potholes, cracks, rutting, etc.) Road assets/inventory (signage, guardrails, pavement markings, etc.) Maintenance strategies and surveys Road safety measures and audit practices Familiarity with pavement management systems and asset lifecycle approaches. Good analytical skills and attention to detail in data validation. Interest in working with AI-driven applications in transportation. Prior exposure to road surveys, asset management projects, or research in transportation engineering is a plus.
