• RF testing execution:

  Perform comprehensive testing on satellite RF components and systems, including:
• Antennas, transponders, amplifiers, filters, and mixers.
• Frequency conversion units and modulation/demodulation systems.

• Test procedure development:

  Develop detailed test plans, procedures, and test scripts based on system requirements and design specifications.

• Test equipment operation:

  Operate and calibrate a wide array of specialized RF test equipment, including:
• Spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and power meters.
• Oscilloscopes and specific satellite communication test sets.

• Data analysis and reporting:

  Analyze test data to confirm compliance with specifications, identify anomalies, and troubleshoot failures down to the component level. Document and report all test results accurately.

• Troubleshooting and root cause analysis:

  Collaborate with the design and systems engineering teams to diagnose complex RF issues and support the implementation of effective corrective actions.

• Automated testing:

  Develop and maintain automated test scripts and systems using programming languages (e.g., Python, LabVIEW) to improve testing efficiency and repeatability.

• Integration support:

  Provide RF expertise during the integration of payloads onto the spacecraft bus and support environmental testing (e.g., thermal vacuum chamber, vibration testing).

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 4–8 years of hands-on experience in RF testing and validation within the satellite, aerospace, or telecommunications industries.
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of RF principles, microwave theory, and communication systems.
• Proficiency in operating and interpreting results from advanced RF test equipment.
• Experience in developing test plans, procedures, and clear, concise technical documentation.
• Familiarity with quality standards applicable to the space domain (e.g., AS9100).

Preferred skills

• Experience with test automation scripting using Python, LabVIEW, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of standard satellite communication protocols and signal processing techniques.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment or handling flight hardware.
• Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
