Job Description

claims handling, appeals, and accounts receivable (AR) management

Primary Responsibilities

Maintain billing software by updating rate changes, payment spreadsheets, and collection reports.
Manage and organize
Accounts Receivable (AR)
effectively.
Audit data to ensure
clean and accurate claims
submission.
Prepare and submit billing data and medical claims to insurance companies.
Verify that all
patient medical information
is current and accurate.
Generate bills and invoices, documenting amounts due for medical services.
Post payments
and reconcile accounts accurately.
Maintain up-to-date billing information and detailed records in the billing system.
Conduct regular review meetings with the RCM Manager to address AR issues and ensure timely resolution.
Follow up on missed or delayed payments and resolve discrepancies.
Review patient bills for accuracy and request missing documentation as needed.
Investigate and
appeal unpaid or denied claims
promptly.
Ensure strict adherence to
HIPAA regulations
and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Desired Experience & Skills

Minimum
3+ years of experience
in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM).
Excellent
verbal and written communication
skills.
Strong
time management
and
multitasking
abilities.
Exceptional
problem-solving
and
organizational
skills.
Ability to work
independently
as well as
collaboratively
in a team.
Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
.
Experience with
ABA (Autism Care) billing
is a strong advantage.
Prior
accounts receivable analysis
experience.
Preferable experience with the
Office Ally clearinghouse
.
Solid understanding of
HIPAA compliance
and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree
or equivalent work experience.
