Job Summary:

The Retail Sales Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and controlling the retail sales function to achieve organizational revenue and growth objectives. This role involves developing effective sales strategies, leading and mentoring the sales team, expanding market presence, managing key customer relationships, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Develope action plans to improve sales performance and close gaps
  • Monitor sales pipelines and conversion ratios
  • Drive revenue growth through focused sales initiatives
  • Plan, execute, and monitor promotional campaigns to increase product/service visibility
  • Coordinate with marketing teams for promotions, advertisements, and events
  • Manage on-ground promotional activities such as dealer meets, exhibitions, product demos, and campaigns
  • Analyze the effectiveness of promotions and optimize strategies
  • Lead, motivate, and guide the sales team to meet targets
  • Conduct regular training on products, promotions, and sales techniques
  • Review team performance and provide coaching and feedback
  • Identify new customers, markets, and channels
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners
  • Handle negotiations and close high-value deals
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and performance dashboards
  • Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback

Maintain accurate records using CRM systems

  • Work closely with marketing, finance, and operations teams
  • Ensure smooth execution of promotions and timely order fullfillment
  • Support management with market insights and recommendations

Experience / Qualification:

  • 3-5 years in Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • Master degree in Marketing is an added advantage
  • Apparel showroom / Hyper market / general merchandise / retail showroom / branded showroom.
