Retail Category Manager

You will be responsible for managing brand and supplier relationships, including selecting and onboarding brand partners and negotiating contracts with suppliers. Your role will involve sourcing products, overseeing offers and promotions, and managing the buying process from end to end. Your duties will also include handling commercial aspects such as pricing, profitability, and margin management. You will be required to monitor and manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) for the category to ensure financial targets are met. Additionally, you will oversee store launches and merchandising activities, ensuring smooth product launches and collaborating with merchandising teams for effective in-store presentation and displays. You will analyze market trends and customer preferences to inform category strategy, and develop strategies to drive category growth and performance. You will also be responsible for tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the category, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing corrective actions as needed. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. - 7-15 years of experience in brand management, supplier management, and commercial buying. - Strong negotiation and communication skills. - Proven track record of driving category growth and meeting financial targets.
