Restaurant Captain

1. Guest Service

• Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
• Ensure guests are comfortably seated and attended to promptly.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar efficiently.
• Maintain strong product knowledge to recommend menu items, daily specials, and beverages.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and ensure guest satisfaction at all times.
• Coordinate with service staff to ensure seamless dining experiences.

2. Team Supervision

• Supervise and guide waiters, runners, and stewards during service.
• Conduct pre-service briefings to communicate daily specials, menu changes, and service standards.
• Ensure team members follow restaurant policies, grooming, and hygiene standards.
• Assist in training new staff members and monitoring their performance.

3. Operations & Coordination

• Oversee table setup, cleanliness, and overall dining area presentation.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and bar for timely food and beverage service.
• Check that all orders are served correctly, promptly, and at the right temperature.
• Maintain proper communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.

4. Sales & Revenue

• Promote upselling and suggestive selling techniques to maximize revenue.
• Ensure accurate billing and assist the cashier when needed.
• Maintain records of covers, sales, and guest feedback.

5. Hygiene & Safety

• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
• Monitor staff adherence to COVID or other health-related protocols (if applicable).
• Report any maintenance or safety issues immediately to management.

6. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily reports on sales, covers, and staff performance.
• Assist in maintaining inventory and requisitioning required items.
• Participate in departmental meetings and share feedback or improvement ideas.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
