Restaurant Captain

Oversee the service team in a dining establishment to ensure smooth, high-quality guest service. Act as the main point of contact between guests, servers, and kitchen staff, ensuring that service standards are consistently met and guest satisfaction remains high.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and ensure they are comfortably seated.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of waitstaff during service.
• Take and confirm guest orders, especially for VIP tables or complex orders.
• Ensure food and drinks are served correctly, promptly, and according to standards.
• Train, guide, and support new and existing service staff.
• Handle guest complaints or special requests professionally and efficiently.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen and bar staff regarding orders and special instructions.
• Check table settings, cleanliness, and overall presentation of the dining area.
• Monitor inventory of service materials (cutlery, glassware, linens, menus).
• Ensure adherence to hygiene, safety, and restaurant service standards.
• Assist in billing, payment processing, and end-of-shift reports when required.
• Coordinate reservations and manage table assignments for smooth operations.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a waiter/waitress; supervisory or captain experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-service abilities.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage menus, including wine service (if applicable).
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work under pressure.
• Professional grooming and presentation.
• Basic POS and billing knowledge.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
