Job Role and Responsibilities of a Restaurant Captain

• Guest Service
• Welcome guests warmly and ensure their dining experience exceeds expectations.
• Provide menu recommendations and assist with food and beverage selections.
• Address guest inquiries and special requests professionally.
• Team Supervision
• Supervise and support the service staff, including waiters and stewards, ensuring efficient service.
• Train and mentor new staff members in service protocols and etiquette.
• Assign tasks and monitor performance to maintain high service standards.
• Order Management
• Ensure orders are taken accurately and conveyed promptly to the kitchen or bar.
• Verify the accuracy of food and beverage items before serving them to guests.
• Handle any issues related to delayed or incorrect orders.
• Table Management
• Oversee table setups and ensure they meet restaurant standards.
• Monitor table turnover and seating arrangements for efficient service flow.
• Communication
• Act as a liaison between guests, kitchen staff, and management to resolve any issues or concerns.
• Relay important updates or instructions to the team.
• Quality Control
• Ensure food and beverage presentation aligns with restaurant standards.
• Conduct regular checks to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the dining area.
• Problem-Solving
• Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Implement solutions to improve service and enhance the guest experience.
• Administrative Tasks
• Maintain reports related to daily operations, guest feedback, and team performance.
• Assist in inventory checks and ensuring adequate supplies for service.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
