• Process telephone and email reservations according to room and rate availability, ensuring that full and accurate details are obtained and input accordingly into PMS.
• Deal with travel agent bookings, vouchers, and credit requests, ensuring that the hotel’s policy is adhered to at all times.
• Process all reservations and extranet messages, ensuring that all bookings are accurate.
• To be fully conversant with rate groups and sales accounts procedures.
• To ensure that all reservation standards and procedures are met with regard to reservations and system input.
• Update reservations, to input and record cancellations and amendments, making sure all bookings are accurate.
• To liaise with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure that VIP guests are recognized as part of the VIP procedures, including room allocations, amenities, and arrival welcome.
• To determine from reservations any sales leads for future business and ensure these are passed to the sales department.
• Ensure reservations are taken accurately & traces are in place for the front office to follow up as required.
• Ensure that reservations include accurate billing details and that the accounts department has the required backup.
