Research and Development Executive

As a Research & Development Executive at our company based in Erode, your role is crucial in developing new products, enhancing existing products, ensuring product quality, and fostering continuous innovation to meet market demands and company objectives. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Product Development** - Develop new food products based on market trends, customer needs, and company strategy. - Modify and enhance existing products for improved quality, cost efficiency, taste, or shelf life. - Conduct bench-level formulations, product trials, and sensory evaluations. - **Research & Formulation** - Research new raw materials, ingredients, and technologies. - Create formulations with precise measurements and maintain detailed documentation. - Evaluate alternative suppliers and ingredients for cost optimization. - **Process Development** - Collaborate with Production to scale up products from lab trials to commercial batches. - Optimize process parameters to ensure consistency and efficiency. - Address product or process issues in production. - **Quality & Compliance** - Ensure all products adhere to FSSAI and other food safety standards. - Maintain essential documentation like product specifications, SOPs, BOMs, and trial reports. - Coordinate with QA for shelf-life studies and product stability testing. - **Cross-Department Coordination** - Coordinate with Production, QA, Purchase, and Sales for successful product launches. - Provide training to production and QA teams on new formulations and processes. **Required Skills & Qualifications:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Technology / Food Science. - 1-3 years of experience in R&D, preferably in the food industry. - Profound knowledge of food ingredients, formulations, and processing technologies. - Good understanding of food safety regulations, particularly FSSAI. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Proficiency in accurately documenting processes. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Preference given to married individuals. **Key Competencies:** - Innovation and creativity - Attention to detail - Time management - Ability to work under pressure - Strong observation and analytical skills This is a full-time, permanent job opportunity suited for individuals keen on contributing to product innovation and quality.
