Qualification: Diploma / ITI / BE / BTech in Electronics, Electrical, or Hardware Engg.

Experience: 3 - 6 Years

Location: Bangalore

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze motherboard schematics to trace signal paths, identify power sequences, and locate fault points.
Troubleshoot and repair faults at the chip and circuit level on laptop and desktop motherboards.
Use board view software (e.g., OpenBoardView, FlexBV) to assist in pinpointing issues.
Replace faulty components, including ICs, MOSFETs, capacitors, resistors, and voltage regulators.
Perform BGA rework, SMD soldering/desoldering, and micro-soldering using precision tools.
Resolve critical issues such as short circuits, no power, no display, and power rail breakdowns.
Flash BIOS/firmware and validate system boot and stability post-repair.
Utilize diagnostic tools like multimeters, DC power supplies, oscilloscopes, and thermal cameras.
Document all repairs, replaced components, fault types, and resolution methods in the service management system.
Collaborate with QA and L1/L2 repair teams to share learnings and reduce repeated failures.
Follow all ESD safety guidelines, repair SOPs, and quality compliance procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 3 6 years of experience in L3-level motherboard repair.
Strong ability to read and interpret circuit schematics and understand signal flow and power architecture.
Expertise in using board view tools for fault tracing and circuit referencing.
Skilled in component-level repair, including handling of BGA and SMD components.
Proficient in BIOS reprogramming and embedded firmware flashing.
Familiar with various OEM hardware platforms, including Dell, HP, Lenovo, and ASUS.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with high-density multilayer PCBs and lead-free soldering practices.
Familiarity with RMA processes, quality audits, and root cause analysis (RCA) methods.
Ability to guide and mentor junior engineers or L2 repair personnel.
