Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Hardware Engg

Experience: 3 - 6 Years

Location: Bangalore

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret electronic schematics and board view files to trace signals and identify faults.
Perform in-depth circuit-level troubleshooting using logical diagnostic techniques and precision tools.
Carry out advanced rework procedures, including BGA reballing, SMD replacement, and micro-soldering.
Use tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, thermal cameras, and LCR meters for diagnostics and verification.
Replace and repair defective components, including ICs, MOSFETs, capacitors, transistors, and VRMs.
Resolve power rail issues, short circuits, no-boot conditions, and other critical PCB-level problems.
Flash and recover BIOS or embedded firmware using EEPROM programmers.
Document repair steps, parts used, and resolutions in the internal tracking system.
Maintain a clean and ESD-safe workstation, following all safety and quality protocols.
Support escalations from L1/L2 engineers and mentor junior team members when needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

3 6 years of hands-on experience in PCB or motherboard-level repair.
Excellent schematic reading and signal tracing ability.
Proficiency with board view tools (e.g., OpenBoardView, FlexBV).
Strong rework skills with experience in BGA, SMD, and fine-pitch component handling.
Working knowledge of BIOS flashing tools and DC power analysis.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with major laptop and desktop brands
Familiarity with thermal profiling and proper use of hot air rework stations.
Knowledge of fault analysis documentation and root cause analysis (RCA) techniques.
Basic software knowledge for system validation post-repair.
