Remote Virtual Assistant

Position:

What You’ll Do

• Answer and triage incoming patient phone calls with warmth and professionalism
• Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel appointments across multiple providers
• Manage patient messages via phone, patient portal, and email
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits in real time
• Collect co-pays, outstanding balances, and process payments
• Scan, fax, and organize medical records
• Assist with referral coordination and prior authorizations
• Light medical scribing during telehealth visits (training provided
• Provide outstanding customer service to our patients every single day

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of experience as a medical receptionist, medical assistant, or virtual assistant in a healthcare setting (primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine strongly preferred)
• Excellent phone etiquette and a genuinely friendly, patient demeanor
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, and insurance verification
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems (eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, Epic, or similar)
• Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, professional home office setup
• Availability Monday–Friday during standard office hours (flexible within 8 AM – 6 PM PST)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
