Reliability Engineer

The Reliability Engineer plays a crucial role in the Critical Care business department's Maintenance team located in Bethlehem. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring that the company's equipment and processes function at optimal levels to meet organizational requirements. Your primary focus will be on preventing equipment failures at the Bethlehem Facility by developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance systems and procedures. Your key stakeholders will include internal departments such as Operators/Supervisors, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance/Engineering, as well as external stakeholders like Equipment Vendors. You will directly report to the Engineering Manager. Your essential duties and responsibilities will involve assessing and monitoring equipment for reliability, ensuring critical spares are available when necessary, identifying opportunities for improvement through data analysis, managing risk to achieve strategic objectives, and leading process improvement projects. You will also collaborate with other departments to integrate reliability into all aspects of the organization and participate in equipment and process qualification and validation. To be successful in this role, you must possess key competencies such as analytical thinking, technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, effective communication, project management abilities, data management skills, a continuous improvement mindset, safety awareness, knowledge of CMMS system and functions, and understanding of regulations applicable to manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
