As an experienced individual contributor in Reliability Engineering, you will be engaged in intricate projects, focusing on reliability testing of assigned systems, subsystems, and components. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects such as Component Failure Analysis, protocol development, data analysis, and collaboration with external vendors. You will be an essential part of an R&D Reliability Engineering team, working closely with cross-functional team members, suppliers, and test laboratories to ensure project objectives are successfully achieved. Your duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: - Performing preliminary component failure analysis, test capability development, protocol development, test method development, test execution, data recording/reporting, data analysis/management, and test status reporting/presentation. - Conducting reliability testing of assigned systems, subsystems, and components. - Leading the development and qualification of methods, fixtures, platforms, and software for reliability tests. - Participating in system-level workflow testing to simulate user experience and aiding in initial fault isolation activities. - Facilitating system-level workflow testing and training of test operators. - Utilizing data analysis tools such as MS Excel, Minitab, and ReliaSoft to support projects within Reliability Engineering. - Identifying and reporting issues following established procedures. - Enhancing processes, systems, or products to improve the performance of Reliability testing. - Coordinating and conducting technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts and design of experiments (DOE) constructs. - Establishing design or test methods and statistical process control procedures to achieve required levels of product reliability. - Conducting risk analysis studies of new designs and processes. - Implementing and maintaining data collection or self-diagnostic test systems and scripts for environmental testing of electrical components and subsystems. - Possessing experience in testing and evaluating electrical performance, failures, determination of useful life for complex electro-mechanical and robotic systems, test and measurement equipment, analysis methodologies, and test documentation. You will be reporting to the Sr. Engineering Manager/Engineering Manager and be accountable to Project Manager(s) for project-related responsibilities. You will frequently collaborate with team members from other disciplines, particularly hardware engineers, to develop project requirements and other artifacts. Additionally, you may interact with clinicians, third-party vendors, manufacturers, subcontractors, and other users. The ideal candidate should have 4 to less than 8 years of experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience. A B.E or B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics is required, while an M.E or M.Tech in the same fields is preferred.
