A Day in the Life Experienced individual contributor in Reliability Engineering, working on complex projects. Responsible for entire projects/processes focusing on reliability testing of assigned systems/subsystems/component, including Component Failure Analysis, protocol development, data analysis, and collaboration with external vendors. Integral part of an R&D Reliability Engineering team, liaising with cross-functional members, suppliers, and test laboratories to ensure project objectives are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintaining and executing activities such as preliminary component failure analysis, test capability development, protocol development, test method development, test execution, data recording/reporting, data analysis/management, test status reporting/presentation.
- Conducting reliability testing of assigned system/subsystem/component
- Leading the development and qualification of methods, fixtures, platforms, and software for reliability tests
- Participating in system level workflow testing simulating user experience and assisting initial fault isolation activities
- Facilitating the system level workflow testing and training of test operators.
- Knowledge on data analysis using statistical analysis such as MS Excel, Minitab, and ReliaSoft. Supporting the entire assigned projects/processes within Reliability Engineering
- Reporting issues using established procedures/processes
- Improving processes, systems, or products to enhance performance of Reliability testing
- Coordinating, and conducting technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts and design of experiments (DOE) constructs
- Establishing design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability
- Completing risk analysis studies of new design and processes
- Knowledge of electronics circuit design, schematics and board layout is desired.
- Implement and maintain data collection or self-diagnostic test systems and scripts for environmental testing of electrical components and sub systems
- Experience with testing and evaluating electrical performance, failures, and determination of the useful life for complex electro-mechanical and robotic systems, test and measurement equipment, analysis methodologies and test documentation is required.
Principal Working Relationships
- Reports to the Sr. Engineering Manager/Engineering Manager
- Accountable to Project Manager(s) for project-related responsibilities
- Frequent interaction with team members from other disciplines, particularly hardware engineers, to develop project requirements and other project artifacts such as project schedules. Possible interaction with clinicians, third-party vendors, manufacturers, subcontractors, and other users.
Experience
- 4 to less than 8 Years of experience or with an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience
Education
- Required: - B.E or B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics or Mechatronics
- Preferred: - M.E or M.Tech in Electrical or Electronics or Mechatronics
