Job Description

Position Overview

The Relationship Manager (RM) Banca channel is responsible for driving life insurance sales through partnered bank branches. The role involves managing relationships with bank staff, generating business through branch walk-ins and existing customers, and ensuring achievement of sales targets while maintaining high-quality service standards.


Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Sales

  • Generate life insurance business through assigned bank branches.

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets (premium, case count, product mix).

  • Drive sales of protection, savings, ULIP, and other life insurance products.

  • Conduct regular field visits, joint calls, and sales presentations to bank customers.

2. Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Branch Managers, RM/SM, and other key bank personnel.

  • Ensure consistent engagement with bank staff through meetings, training, and support.

  • Resolve queries and ensure smooth policy issuance and post-sales servicing.

3. Training & Support

  • Train and motivate bank employees on product feature, sales process, and customer handling.

  • Conduct bank staff activation programs, HNI engagement activities, and sales campaigns.

4. Customer Service & Compliance

  • Provide quality service to bank customers and maintain high customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory & company guidelines including IRDAI norms.

  • Handle documentation, KYC verification, proposal forms, and ensure compliance at all stages.

5. Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain MIS, daily activity reports, and sales pipeline.

  • Track branch performance and share weekly/monthly reports with sales leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:

  • Experience:

    • 16+ years of experience in Banca, Life Insurance, BFSI sales, or relationship management.

    • Experience in bank partnership/branch sales is preferred.

  • Certifications:
