Job Summary:

Regional Sales Manager (RSM)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve sales targets and revenue growth for the assigned region.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and related manufacturing clients.
  • Promote the company’s full range of pharma machinery (e.g., process equipment, packaging machines, cleanroom systems, etc.).
  • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and negotiations with clients.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Understand client requirements, provide customized solutions, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Design, Production, and Service) for timely project execution and after-sales support.

3. Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Analyze regional market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Provide regular feedback to management on pricing, product positioning, and market opportunities.
  • Participate in industry exhibitions, seminars, and customer events to promote brand visibility.

4. Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead and mentor sales engineers/executives in the region.
  • Ensure regular reporting, pipeline tracking, and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and service departments to ensure customer satisfaction and business retention.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:

    B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering. MBA in Marketing is an added advantage.
  • Experience:

    8–15 years of experience in

    capital equipment / pharma machinery / industrial equipment sales

    .
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key accounts in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Strong technical understanding of pharma process, packaging, or automation equipment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
