Position Description Position title Regional Manager – Group Sales Department Group Sales Reporting to HO Hyderabad and Bharat re insurance brokers No. of reportees None Location Gujarat and Chennai Position Summary ( For what the job exists ) The individual will be responsible for the sales & marketing of SLIC Group Products in the designated area & over achieve the assigned targets. The position requires travel to all parts of the zone. They will be closely working with Bharat re brokers and they will be functionally reporting to Bharat re management. Key accountabilities ( A collection of duties and/or responsibilities assigned ) 1) Sales & Marketing of Group Life Insurance & Pension Products. 2) Over achieving the assigned targets 3) Managing the entire book size of existing & new business Preferred Skills , Knowledge & Qualifications 1) Minimum Qualification – Graduate (MBA or equivalent Preferred) 2) Corporate Sales experience 3) Efficient in MS Office, etc. Personal Attributes & Competencies 1) Excellent Presentation Skills 2) Excellent communication skills in English & Hindi (Local language will be added advantage) 3) Should be a good team player 4) Good Knowledge of Investments will be an advantage. Performance Measures ( The quantitative measures of the job’s overall responsibility ) 1) Over achieve the assigned targets of New Business 2) Maintain the existing portfolio 3) Increase profitability of the business 4) Increase the overall book size of the portfolio 5) Effective Relationship Building with all the stakeholders (Internal & External) 6) Cross Sell PERSON PROFILE ( for the Ideal Candidate ) Age ( Min to Max ) 35-45 years Experience ( Min to Max ) 10-15 years’ experience in the Group Sales vertical of life insurance company is preferable) Specific Qualification Requirement, if any ( Eg: CA, LLB ) Graduate Industry Preference ( Insurance , Telecom, BFSI ) Life Insurance / General Insurance Specific Skill sets for Weight age assigned to various skill sets Group Sales in Life Insurance Industry preferably selling EDLI / GTLI / credit shield plans and Group gratuity plans.
