Job Description

• Ensuring standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met;

• Responding to customer complaints and comments;

• Participating in special promotions, displays and events, on behalf of Hospital.

• Attending and chairing meetings.

• Updating colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues;

• Visiting to assigned counters regularly, talking to colleagues and customers, and identifying or resolving urgent issues;

• Maintaining awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing;

• Initiating changes to improve the business, e.g. revising opening hours to ensure the store can compete effectively in the local market; dealing with sales, as and when required.

• Managing and motivating a team to increase sales and ensure efficiency.

• Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control. • Direct and coordinates activities involving sales of Optical Products.

• Prepare staff schedules or work assignments.

• Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability.

• Oversee regional and local sales managers and their staffs. • Analyze data to inform operational decisions or financial records to improve efficient activities.

• Direct organizational operations, projects, direct sales, marketing, or customer service activities.

• Analyzing sales figures and forecasting future sales volumes to maximize profits; and interpreting trends to facilitate planning.

• Using information technology to record sales figures, for data analysis and forward planning;

• Dealing with staffing issues such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, as well as providing or organizing training and development.

• Assist in the recruitment and hiring of the most qualified managers to meet the Regional needs.

• Conduct orientation, train and coach the management staff in execution of daily tasks and to maximize sales.

• Participate in administering company policies and developing long range goals and objectives.

• Coordinate sales promotion activities, placement and displays.

• Review operational reports and records to ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures, monitor store profitability.

• Assist BD team in Operational feasibility of new stores/counters.

• Coordinate new store openings / Counters and/ or closing of existing locations.

• Ensure that proper channels of communication exist between the stores, Counters and Head Office.

• Oversee compliance of Store Managers / Counter In-charge with established Company policies and standards, such as safekeeping of Company funds and property, personnel practices, security, sales and record-keeping procedures, and overall maintenance of the stores by performing required audits.

• Help solve problems that affect the stores service, efficiency, and productivity.

• Inspect premises of stores to ensure that adequate security exists and that physical facilities comply with safety and environmental codes and ordinances. Any other tasks as assigned from time to time.
