Redhat OCP Engineer

We are seeking an experienced RedHat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. The role involves administration, configuration, and optimization of OpenShift clusters to ensure high availability, scalability, and security of containerized environments.
The ideal candidate will work closely with DevOps engineers, development teams, and infrastructure leads to manage OCP clusters and support business-critical enterprise applications in a 24x7 environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain RedHat OpenShift clusters across environments.
• Manage services such as Quay Registry, cluster monitoring, resource utilization, and operator upgrades.
• Configure persistent storage solutions for stateful applications and manage Resource Quotas for optimal performance.
• Implement and manage Roles and Role Binding policies for user access and permissions.
• Configure networking solutions such as DNS, Ingress, and HAProxy; manage node configurations using MachineConfig.
• Monitor cluster health and automate performance alerts using monitoring tools.
• Design and implement OCP infrastructure aligned with enterprise requirements.
• Implement backup, restore, and upgrade strategies for OCP clusters.
• Troubleshoot cluster-level and application deployment issues.
• Collaborate with DevOps and development teams for seamless integration and deployment workflows.
• Ensure compliance with security, scalability, and reliability standards.
• Work in 24x7 rotational shifts as required for production support.

Core Technical Competencies (Must Have):

• RedHat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) installation, configuration, and administration
• Kubernetes, Docker, Containers, and Microservices
• Linux Administration (preferably RHEL)
• Quay Registry, MachineConfig, Secrets Management
• Cluster monitoring and alerting tools
• Networking concepts (DNS, Ingress, HAProxy)

Additional Competencies (Nice to Have):

• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab)
• Scripting (Bash, Python)
• Exposure to Capital Markets or BFSI application environments
• Troubleshooting and performance optimization experience
