Recovery Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

Payment Recovery:

• Oversee the timely recovery of overdue payments and debts from clients. Develop and implement strategies for collections while maintaining positive client relationships.
• Work with internal teams to gather necessary documentation and ensure all information is up-to-date.
• Conduct regular follow-ups with clients via phone, email, or other communication channels to resolve outstanding invoices.
• Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients regarding overdue payments and resolve any payment disputes. Maintain a positive, professional, and empathetic approach to ensure client satisfaction, even in challenging situations.
• Provide clear explanations of payment terms, policies, and resolutions to clients.
• Negotiation & Conflict Resolution: Negotiate repayment plans or settlements with clients where necessary, ensuring a mutually beneficial agreement.
• Effectively de-escalate difficult situations and find win-win solutions. Collaborate with legal or accounting teams if necessary to ensure compliance and reduce financial risks.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of payment recoveries, client communications, and agreed-upon payment plans. Prepare regular reports on payment recovery progress and outstanding debts.

Requirements

• Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence clients positively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage difficult conversations with clients while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of industry-standard payment recovery processes and tools. A detail-oriented and organized approach to work.
