Real Estate- Federal & State Tax-Senior Manager

Role Overview: As a Senior Manager - Partnership at EY, you will be responsible for providing a broad array of U.S. income tax compliance services to Real Estate owners, developers, and investors. Your primary role will involve planning engagements, managing multiple client accounts, and ensuring high-quality deliverables for clients in the Real Estate industry. Additionally, you will play a key role in coaching and mentoring team members to build an inclusive culture and high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities: - Review U.S. Federal, State, and local income tax returns for clients in the Real Estate industry, including extensions, composite filings, and withholding filings. - Conduct detailed reviews of supporting workpapers related to Federal and State income tax returns. - Monitor REIT compliance, prepare income test calculations, and review the REITs quarterly asset test. - Manage client engagements, including staffing, engagement economics, and identifying out-of-scope work for additional billings. - Build relationships with client personnel while delivering exceptional client service and maintaining quality on all deliverables. - Coach and mentor team members, identify training and development needs, and delegate work effectively. - Conduct performance reviews, provide leadership and mentorship, and contribute to performance feedback and training. - Support recruitment activities and foster teamwork within the team. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree/M.B.A in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline. - Certified Enrolled Agent or CPA. - Minimum of 10 to 12 years of experience in U.S. Partnership Income tax compliance in the Real Estate industry. - Experience in U.S. Tax accounting.
