About the Role: We are looking for a proactive React Frontend Developer with 4–5 years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic team. You will be working on enhancing and extending an existing React application, collaborating with backend teams on Azure Functions APIs, and ensuring a seamless user experience. This role demands strong expertise in modern React (React 18), Node.js-based tooling, and CSS/HTML fundamentals. You should be a self-starter, capable of understanding existing codebases, proposing improvements, and delivering new functionalities with minimal supervision. 🌍 Open to Freelancers from Anywhere in the World (Remote) Key Responsibilities: Analyze, maintain, and enhance an existing React codebase, including upgrades to React 18. Develop and integrate new features and UI components using React, TypeScript, Fluent UI / Material UI. Work closely with Azure Functions-based APIs to build seamless frontend-backend integrations. Utilize Node.js-based tooling (npm, Webpack, Vite, Babel, ESLint, etc.) for development, builds, and optimization. Collaborate with backend developers, designers, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth workflows. Optimize frontend performance, ensure cross-browser compatibility, and responsive design. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices. Take initiative in code reviews, suggesting improvements and refactoring where needed. Work with version control systems like Git and participate in CI/CD processes. Stay updated with the latest trends in React ecosystem and frontend technologies. Required Skills & Experience: 4–5 years of professional experience in React frontend development. Strong hands-on experience with React 16+, with a clear understanding of React 18 features (Concurrent Mode, Suspense, etc.). Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and modern frontend development practices. Excellent understanding of Node.js-based tooling for React: npm / yarn / pnpm Webpack / Vite / Parcel Babel, ESLint, Prettier React Dev Server & Build Pipelines Experience working with REST APIs, preferably Azure Functions. Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and responsive web design. Experience with component libraries like Fluent UI, Material UI, or similar. Familiarity with Git workflows and basic DevOps processes for frontend deployment. Ability to quickly understand legacy code, suggest enhancements, and implement improvements. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. Excellent communication and collaboration skills .
