Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and innovative R&D Senior Chemist to join our dynamic Research & Development team in Ahmedabad This role will be instrumental in developing new and improved formulations, driving product innovation, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations The ideal candidate is passionate about cosmetics science, product development, and thrives in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment

Key Responsibilities

Lead the formulation and development of new skin care, cosmetics, and oral care products from concept to commercialization Reformulate and enhance existing products based on market trends, client feedback, and regulatory updates Conduct lab-scale experiments, stability studies, and compatibility testing Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, production, quality assurance, and packaging Maintain accurate documentation of formulations, test results, and technical specifications Ensure all formulations meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards (eg BIS, FDA, GMP) Source and evaluate raw materials in collaboration with procurement and vendors Provide technical support during scale-up, pilot, and commercial production Stay updated with industry innovations, emerging ingredients, and global trends

Required Qualifications & Skills

Hard Skills

Expertise in formulation science (especially emulsions, gels, serums, suspensions, pastes, etc) Strong knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, their functionality, and compatibility Hands-on experience with stability testing, product evaluations, and regulatory documentation Familiarity with cosmetic regulations (India & international)

Soft Skills

Innovative thinking and problem-solving ability Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset Excellent communication and documentation skills Leadership and team collaboration abilities

Education & Certifications

B Pharm / M Pharm / B Sc / M Sc in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field Additional certifications in Cosmetic Formulation or Regulatory Affairs (preferred but not mandatory)

Preferred Experience

Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on experience in R&D or product development within a cosmetic, skin care, or oral care manufacturing environment Experience in private label or contract manufacturing setup will be a strong advantage
