Job Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented R&D Chemist to join our Research & Development team in Gujarat The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and innovating cosmetic, skincare, and oral care formulations, ensuring they meet regulatory, quality, and performance standards

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and formulate new cosmetic, skincare, and oral care products in line with market trends and client requirements Conduct stability studies, compatibility testing, and performance evaluations of formulations Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, QA/QC, Packaging, and Regulatory for product development and scale-up Maintain accurate and detailed formulation records, test results, and technical reports Source and evaluate raw materials from suppliers and ensure regulatory compliance Continuously improve existing formulations for cost-effectiveness, performance, or regulatory compliance Keep abreast of new ingredients, technologies, and global cosmetic regulations

Qualifications:

Hard Skills:

Proficiency in cosmetic formulation techniques and processes Knowledge of stability testing, emulsions, surfactant systems, preservatives, and active ingredients Familiarity with laboratory equipment and GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) Understanding of cosmetic regulations (eg BIS, FDA, EU, or US standards)

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities Creativity and an innovation-driven mindset Excellent communication and documentation skills Team player with the ability to manage multiple projects

Education & Certifications:

B Sc / M Sc in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field Certifications in Cosmetic Science (preferred but not mandatory)

Preferred Experience:

2-5 years of hands-on experience in a cosmetic, personal care, or oral care product development role Experience in a private label or contract manufacturing environment is a plus
