RBI Engineer (Pipeline Integrity)

RBI Engineers (Pipeline Integrity)

Educational Qualification

Bachelors Degree in
Mechanical Engineering

Experience Requirements

one of the following criteria

Minimum
3 years of experience as an RBI Engineer
in upstream or midstream oil & gas organizations such as
ONGC, OIL, Cairn, GAIL, Essar, or Reliance Industries (RIL)

OR

58 years of total experience
, including:

At least
3 years in oil production operations
, and
Remaining experience with EPC/engineering organizations such as
LTTS, TOYO, EIL, TECHNIMONT
, working specifically in an
RBI Engineer
role

Primary Skills

Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) methodology
Pipeline Integrity Management
API 580 & API 581 standards
Corrosion assessment and risk analysis

Secondary Skills

Damage Mechanism Review (DMR)
Material degradation and failure analysis
Integrity Operating Windows (IOW)
Inspection planning and optimization

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain
Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) programs
for pipelines and static equipment
Perform
risk assessments
to evaluate probability and consequence of failure
Identify
corrosion loops/circuits
and applicable damage mechanisms
Conduct
Damage Mechanism Reviews (DMR)
and material degradation assessments
Define and monitor
Integrity Operating Windows (IOW)
Analyze inspection, operational, and historical data to identify potential integrity threats
Recommend inspection intervals, inspection techniques, and mitigation strategies
Ensure compliance with applicable
industry codes, standards, and best practices
Support asset integrity, reliability, and safety objectives across projects
