Quantity Surveyor/Cost estimation- from Infra and manufacturing Co exp

Position Title:

Role Overview:

The Manager – Estimation (Projects) will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tender documentation for various infrastructure, industrial, and commercial projects. This role demands strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure competitive and commercially viable bids.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation and submission of cost estimates for new project bids (EPC/turnkey/civil/mechanical/E&I works).
• Analyze tender documents, drawings, and BOQs to assess project scope and costing requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and planning teams for technical inputs and material/service rate analysis.
• Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and benchmark rates.
• Maintain a cost database and historical project costing for benchmarking.
• Prepare estimation summary sheets, cost breakups, and risk analysis for management review.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and client interactions as required.
• Track market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory changes that may impact costings.
• Support project handover to execution teams post award.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of estimation techniques, cost engineering, and budgeting for large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in estimation software like Candy, CCS, CostX, MS Excel, etc.
• Sound understanding of engineering drawings and specifications (civil, mechanical, electrical, etc.).
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids within tight timelines.
• Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.

Educational Qualifications:

• B.E. / B.Tech in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• Certification in Cost Estimation / PMP / Quantity Surveying (preferred)
