Quality Manager (Location: Podalakur, Nellore, AP) You are expected to actively manage our entire Quality team at our factory in Podalakur Mandal, Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh. You must organize the department, develop systems, procedures, and plan activities. You will be a part of the factorys management team. The following are some of the requirements and responsibilities. It changes from time to time. You must be flexible to take care of the needs of the Company. Knowledge Requirement: 1. Must be an established leader and have the capability to lead people of different skills. 2. Must be able to read, interpret, apply, the engineering drawings for various parts, sub-assemblies, components, machines etc. a. Updating documents (engineering drawings, BoM, part-lists, product improvements) in factory, including old and new models and modifications from time to time. 3. Must be fluent in English to read and understand various documents, work with government agencies all over India, and with our principals abroad. a. Must know various measuring instruments used in manufacturing, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing process for engineering drawing and production verifications. 4. Must have hands-on experience in inspection of sheet metal components , machined components , welded and painted components 5. Must have testing knowledge of Petrol and Diesel Engines . 6. Must know how to test various components of machinery e.g., engines, gearbox etc. measuring performance of combustion, emission, torque etc. and prepare necessary reports, to ensure quality of products. 7. Must have hands on experience in Incoming quality of various components like (sheet metal components , machined components ,rubber components , plastic components ,plated components ,BOP components ). 8. Must have hands on experience in in process quality and final product quality 9. Need to interact with suppliers and get Corrective action report in case of non-conforming supplies . 10. Must have hands on experience in warranty analysis. 11. Must have knowledge of inspection of various jigs, fixtures, tooling etc. 12. Must be able to work with vendors domestic and foreign, to ensure quality parts, raw material in timely and cost-effective manner. 13. Must work with our sales and service teams across all branches to resolve any product issue. 14. Must have hands on experience in Dock audit and Process audit . Factory Maintenance: 1. Must have knowledge of using ,maintaining and calibrating various gauges , jigs and fixtures. 2. Periodic checks and calibration of various equipment to ensure working conditions in manufacturing or service. Keep record of calibration. 3. Record keeping of calibration done, instrument breakdowns, change in process or components. Certification & Compliance Responsibility: 1. Working knowledge of various certifications, testing and quality standards is required. 2. BIS:ISI and FMTTI certification: You should have a working knowledge of the certification process. You will be responsible for preparation of application, follow-ups during testing, correction in documentation or product as needed to achieve final goal of compliance and certification. 3. System implementation Knowledge ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, TS 16949 . 4. You will be responsible for record keeping at the factory to comply with various certifications. Required experience: At least 10 years in Quality Head level in agricultural machinery or automotive (2-wheeler or 4-wheeler) segment, strong skills in quality assurance , customer-interface, written and verbal communication, trouble shooting and creative thinking etc. Education: BE or B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile or Production or Industrial Engineering You will need to occasionally travel to HO, branches, customer locations, and vendors to address various issues.
