About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Manager with a proven record of accomplishment in heavy fabrication. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in machine shop operations, NDT/UT testing, welding quality, and fabrication processes, ensuring that products meet the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Quality Department for all fabrication and machine shop activities.
Establish, implement, and maintain quality management systems (ISO, ASME, or equivalent).
Monitor and control welding processes, UT, RT, and other NDT methods to ensure compliance with standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in production and quality practices.
Conduct root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for quality issues.
Liaise with clients, third-party inspectors, and certification bodies for audits and approvals.
Develop and mentor quality engineers, inspectors, and shop floor quality teams.
Ensure strict adherence to safety, environmental, and compliance norms.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors / master's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
25–30 years of experience in heavy fabrication, pressure vessels, structures, or similar industries.
Strong exposure to machine shop operations, welding quality, NDT/UT testing, and fabrication inspection.
Knowledge of international quality standards (ISO, ASME, API, etc.).
Excellent leadership, communication, and client-handling skills.
Ability to independently manage audits and customer quality requirements.

Preferred Background

Candidates from heavy engineering, fabrication, machine shop, or manufacturing industries.
Prior experience in Bangalore Rural or nearby industrial areas is an advantage.
