Role Overview

Quality Department

Key Responsibilities

1. Accreditation & Policy Alignment

  • Review hospital policies and procedures, identify gaps against accreditation standards, and develop action plans.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to implement corrective measures and ensure compliance.

2. Internal Quality Audits

  • Lead the Internal Quality Audit (IQA) process from auditor identification, training, and certification to audit execution and follow-up.
  • Develop audit checklists, assign roles, consolidate findings, and support corrective action planning.

3. Training & Development

  • Identify training needs across departments and prepare structured training plans.
  • Conduct awareness sessions on quality standards, patient safety, workplace safety, and accreditation requirements.
  • Support HR in induction training and conduct quarterly workshops.

4. Quality Monitoring & Indicators

  • Define and monitor Quality Indicators (QIs) across departments.
  • Train staff in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Present QI results to management at regular intervals.

5. Quality Committees

  • Establish and oversee mandatory quality committees as per accreditation guidelines.
  • Define roles, scope, reporting mechanisms, and ensure effective documentation of meetings.
  • Track and follow up on action items from committee recommendations.

6. Quality Improvement Initiatives

  • Support departments in initiating and implementing quality improvement programs.
  • Monitor and review progress quarterly and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

7. Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain and update manuals, forms, patient care formats, and accreditation-related documents.
  • Preserve records such as audit findings, QI results, incident reports, and accreditation communications.

8. Administrative & Team Responsibilities

  • Manage departmental budgets, manpower requirements, and resource planning.
  • Maintain workplace ethics and confidentiality of patient and staff information.
  • Ensure timely reporting of critical incidents related to patient/staff safety.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Proven competence in hospital quality systems and accreditation processes.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training abilities.
  • High level of integrity, initiative, and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and data analysis.
