Job Description

Job Title: Quality Inspector Location: Urse, Pune (Mahindra CIE) Experience: Minimum 6 months – 2 years Key Responsibilities:Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of casted components as per drawing and quality standards. Perform in-process, incoming, and final inspection of products and raw materials. Use inspection instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, CMM (if applicable), and Surface Roughness Tester. Identify and record non-conformities, assist in root cause analysis, and support corrective/preventive actions. Monitor casting defects such as porosity, shrinkage, and surface irregularities, and coordinate with the production team for corrective measures. Maintain proper inspection records and reports as per ISO / IATF standards. Support the Quality Engineer in internal audits and process quality improvements. Ensure compliance with safety and 5S standards on the shop floor. Required Skills & Knowledge:Strong understanding of foundry processes and casting quality parameters. Knowledge of defect identification and classification in castings. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Experience in visual inspection and dimensional measurement. Exposure to NDT (Visual / Radiographic / Dye Penetrant testing) will be an advantage. Good communication and teamwork skills.
